I am a social and behavioral scientist. My research specialty is narrative and media persuasion. More specifically how media engages audiences and shapes their beliefs, attitudes, actions, and intentions. These mechanisms help us understand how to engage audiences and keep them coming back for more.

My favorite research involves prosocial issues, such as environmentalism, changing behavior related to health issues, and questioning the framing in news stories that disguises systemic problems.
 

My background in theatre has taught me to connect with and understand others. It is natural for me to shift perspectives to communicate with collaborators, participants, students, and peers. This skill allows me to translate complex findings into understandable results for any audience.
